Branding & CI

The Branding & CI department develops and maintains brand identities for our clients, from strategy through to visual systems and guidelines. We create cohesive brand experiences that communicate clearly and stand out in the market.

  • Brand Strategy — Defining brand positioning, values, personality, and messaging frameworks
  • Logo Design — Creating primary logos, secondary marks, favicons, and logo system variations
  • Visual Identity Systems — Developing comprehensive colour palettes, typography systems, iconography, and graphic elements
  • Corporate Identity Manuals — Producing detailed CI guidelines that document how a brand should be applied across all touchpoints
  • Brand Collateral — Designing stationery, presentation templates, social media assets, and other branded materials
  • Brand Audits — Reviewing existing brands for consistency and making recommendations for improvement

Branding projects follow this general process:

  1. Discovery & Strategy — Understand the client’s business, audience, competitors, and brand aspirations
  2. Research & Moodboarding — Explore visual directions, typography options, and colour palettes
  3. Concept Development — Create initial logo concepts and visual identity directions (typically 2-3 options)
  4. Client Presentation — Present concepts with rationale; gather feedback
  5. Refinement — Iterate on the chosen direction based on client feedback
  6. System Expansion — Extend the approved identity into a full visual system (colours, typography, icons, patterns, collateral)
  7. CI Manual Production — Document the complete brand system in a comprehensive corporate identity manual
  8. Asset Handover — Deliver all final files, source files, and the CI manual to the client
