Product Design

The Product Design department is responsible for shaping the user experience and interface of the products we build for our clients. Our work spans UX research, wireframing, prototyping, UI design, and usability validation.

  • UX Research — Understanding user needs, behaviours, and pain points through interviews, surveys, and analytics review
  • Wireframing — Low-fidelity layouts that define page structure, content hierarchy, and user flows
  • Prototyping — Interactive prototypes to test and validate design concepts before development
  • UI Design — High-fidelity visual designs including component design, typography, colour application, and responsive layouts
  • Design Systems — Building and maintaining reusable component libraries that ensure consistency across projects
  • Usability Testing — Validating designs with real users to identify issues and opportunities for improvement

The department handles projects tracked under 2025 UI/UX Projects in the ClickUp Projects Directory.

Product Design work follows this general flow:

  1. Brief received — A project brief or scope is shared, often from a proposal or client kickoff
  2. Research & discovery — Understand the client’s users, competitors, and business goals
  3. Wireframing — Create low-fidelity layouts for key screens and flows
  4. Client review (wireframes) — Present wireframes for feedback and alignment
  5. UI Design — Apply visual design, brand styling, and component detail to approved wireframes
  6. Internal design review — Lea reviews designs for quality and consistency before client presentation
  7. Client review (UI) — Present high-fidelity designs for client approval
  8. Design handoff — Package approved designs for the development team (see Design Handoff SOP)

Design work in ClickUp is tracked with statuses that align with the broader project lifecycle. Design-specific internal work (design system updates, template refinement, process improvements) is logged under Internal Projects in the Internal Operations space.

  • Figma workspace — Contains active project files, design system components, and templates
  • Design System — Shared Figma library of reusable components and styles
  • Templates Directory — Foundations and standard templates are maintained in ClickUp and Google Drive (see Templates)
  • Standards & Guidelines — Design standards are documented in the Operations Knowledge Base on ClickUp
